Full time risk and insurance involvement with complex accounts since 1973

Substantial work on accounts with high six (6) and seven (7) figure annual insurance and risk funding programs. Limited work with Fortune 1000 firms.

I particularly enjoy working with local and regional business, nonprofit organizations and public entities. Their exposure and risk profile is no less complex and often more so. Smaller organizations are more vulnerable to risk of loss and have less bargaining power with the insurance industry.

Personal insurance program work is similar. I've had projects for very, very wealthy families across the United States, but prefer a more broad spectrum of the marketplace.

Broad mix of clients using either large national brokers or local agents. Substantial experience assisting clients in broker replacement process over service and program quality issues.

Lecturer on complex risk and insurance issues in state, national and international forums.

Author of articles published in trade press, reference publications and academic journals.

President of CPCU Society chapters in two (2) different states.

President of the Society of Risk Management Consultants.

Served as expert in insurance related litigation since 1993. Five (5) year involvement in litigation arising out of Hurricane Katrina.

Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) -- a series of ten (10) upper division undergraduate and graduate level courses and competitive examinations related to the business of risk in the property & casualty arena. (Completed 1981)

Associate in Risk Management (ARM) -- a series of three (3) graduate level courses and competitive examinations related to risk identification & insurance, loss control & safety, and risk finance. (Completed 1982)
